Lumin – Social (“Lumin,” “we,” “us”) is committed to maintaining a platform that prioritizes user safety and complies with applicable laws. This policy explains how Lumin addresses illegal activity, real-world harm, and serious safety risks.

This policy works alongside the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Content Moderation Policy.

1. Zero-Tolerance Content

The following content is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension or permanent account removal, with or without notice:

Violence & Physical Harm

• Threats of violence or bodily harm

• Planning, coordinating, or encouraging violent acts

• Glorification of mass harm, terrorism, or extremism

Criminal Activity

• Instructions for committing crimes

• Promotion or facilitation of illegal activity

• Fraud, scams, or financial exploitation

Sexual Exploitation

• Sexual exploitation or abuse of any kind

• Sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance)

• Grooming or predatory behavior

Self-Harm

• Promotion or encouragement of self-harm or suicide

• Instructions for self-harm

Lumin may provide resources or take protective action when credible risk is identified.

2. Child Safety

• Lumin is intended for users 16 years of age or older.

• Content involving minors in a sexual or exploitative context is strictly prohibited.

• Any such content may be removed immediately and escalated as required by law.

3. Threats & Imminent Harm

If content or behavior indicates a credible threat of real-world harm, Lumin may:

• Remove content immediately

• Suspend or terminate the account

• Preserve data relevant to the threat

• Cooperate with law enforcement or emergency services where legally required

User safety takes priority over account preservation.

4. Reporting Safety Concerns

Users are encouraged to report:

• Threatening behavior

• Violent or criminal content

• Exploitation or abuse

• Any content that feels unsafe or dangerous

Reports are reviewed by authorized moderators.

Blocking another user is recommended in addition to reporting.

5. Messaging & Safety (Signals)

Signals are private messages between users.

• Messages are reviewed only if reported or required for safety or legal reasons.

• Lumin does not actively monitor private communications.

• Abuse of Signals for illegal or harmful behavior is prohibited.

6. Law Enforcement Cooperation

Lumin may preserve or disclose information if required to:

• Comply with legal obligations

• Respond to valid legal requests

• Prevent imminent harm

• Investigate serious safety threats

Disclosures are made only when legally required.

7. No Emergency Services

Lumin is not an emergency service.

If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a crisis:

• Contact local emergency services

• Seek help from trusted professionals or hotlines

Do not rely on Lumin for urgent assistance.

8. False Reports & Abuse

Submitting false safety reports or attempting to weaponize moderation systems may result in:

• Report rejection

• Account restrictions

• Suspension or termination

9. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated as laws, safety standards, or platform features evolve. Updates will be posted publicly with a revised date.
